Youth Curriculum
Knowledge is a means to attaining God-consciousness and conviction. The Islamic Studies Youth Curriculum is specially designed to increase your certainty, introduce you to the basic tenements of your faith, and increase your closeness to Allah Most High.
Taught by reliable scholars, it provides guidance on all aspects of Islam. You will gain valuable insight into traditional subjects like Qur’an, Hadith Studies, Fiqh, Theology, and Spirituality. You will also learn how to navigate the challenges that come with growing up in the modern world.
The Essentials of Belief for Muslim Youth: Necessary Knowledge to Practice Islam
The focus of this course is to teach the core beliefs that all Muslims must hold on to, and align their hearts and minds with. The concepts covered in this course include knowledge of the Divine and the purpose of life. It also covers the day of judgment, the afterlife, paradise and hell, angels and prophets, as well as the “qadr” or predestination.
These are the foundational matters of Belief that are obligatory knowledge for all Muslims, particularly children and young adults. This is the first course that should be taken in Level One of the Islamic Studies Youth Curriculum.
The Fiqh of Worship for Youth: Rules of Purification and Prayer
In this course, Imam Yama Niazi gives in-depth coverage of the practical rulings of purification and prayer. He teaches young Muslims how to ensure their purification and prayer are valid, sound, and complete. He offers a thorough and reliable explanation of ablution (wudu), purificatory bath (ghusl), dry ablution (tayammum), the five daily prayers, and the Friday and Eid prayers.
This course is essential to attain confidence that you are worshipping in a correct manner. It is the second course after The Essentials of Belief for Muslim Youth in Level One of the Islamic Studies Youth Curriculum.
Connecting to the Qur’an: An Introduction to a Lifelong Relationship
In this course, Imam Yama Niazi introduces Muslim youth to the Qur’an and its significance in the life of every Muslim. The course covers how the Qur’an was revealed and the various themes addressed in it. It also teaches the etiquettes of approaching the Book of God. It is of paramount importance that our youth discover the history and importance of their holy book.
This class is meant to inspire our youth to appreciate the Qur’an and to foster a relationship that will last beyond this world. This is the third course in Level One of the Islamic Studies Youth Curriculum.
Introductory Hadith Studies: Selection of Short Prophetic Sayings
This course offers an introduction to the concept of Hadith or the Sayings of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) for youth. It is essential that every Muslim should know the concept and foundations of this science. The hadith and sunnah explain to us the teachings of the Qur’an in more detail.
Hadith has always been the second of the sources of law and the richest after the Qur’an. Imam Yama Niazi covers various topics including hadith reliability and transmission, Imams of hadith, chains of narration, and content of hadith. This is the fourth course in Level One of the Islamic Studies Youth Curriculum.
Know the Best of Creation: The Life of the Prophet Muhammad for Youth
In this course, Imam Yama Niazi embarks on a journey with your children to glance at the best of mankind. The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) is the most important person in the life of a Muslim. It is narrated that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, “None of you will truly believe until I am more beloved to him than his family, wealth, and all the people.”
It is imperative for young Muslims to learn about the life and character of the Prophet during their early years in order to inculcate this love in their hearts. This is the fifth course in Level One of the Islamic Studies Youth Curriculum.
The Purification of the Heart for Youth: Diseases of the Heart and Their Cure
In this course, Imam Yama Niazi provides our younger generation with essential knowledge concerning the spiritual maladies of the heart and soul. This exciting course will provide our youth with a detailed outline of the various causes and remedies of the spiritual diseases that afflict the internal dimensions of human beings. Additionally, this course serves as a road map in achieving a sound and purified heart.
This is the last course in Level One of the Islamic Studies Youth Curriculum.
