Does acupuncture invalidate the fast?

Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Merciful and Compassionate.

Acupuncture does not break the fast. The needles of acupuncture do not reach the body cavity through any of the recognized entry points. Additionally, a portion of the needle always remains outside of the body; this, too, does not meet the criteria of something breaking the fast. [Maydani, al-Lubab fi Sharh al-Kitab]
