In this episode of “Simply The Best”, Shaykh Sadullah Khan covers the story of Miqdad bin Aswad. Miqdad was born in Yemen. He challenged the unjust leaders, and because of his standing up to tyrannical rule was made to leave Yemen. He was one of the first people to accept Islam and gather at Dar al Aqram. He, along with others, migrated to Abyssinia due to the oppression in Makka. he rejoined the Muslims in Madinah and was one of the few horseman at the battle of Badr. Miqdad assured Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessing be upon him) that the companions were in full support of him prior to going out to the battle of Badr. Miqdad was a defender of the truth during ease and difficultly. Always speaking the truth even to those who seem to have power over him.
