Doing Qurbani/Udhiya in another country
Question: If one does Qurbani/Udhiya in another country, does it matter that the slaughter happens before the due time in one’s own country?
Answer:
Wa alaykum assalam wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh,
Dear questioner,
Thank you for your important question.
When one appoints someone else in another country to slaughter Qurbani/Udhiya on one’s behalf, the time restrictions apply to the country of the person slaughtering, not the one who appointed him to do so.
Thus it doesn’t matter if, for example, the slaughter actually happens before the due time in one’s own country.
I pray this helps.
