Does the Exiting Of Pre-Ejaculate Fluid Require a Ghusl?

Question:  I felt something in my private area. It felt a little ticklish with a sudden short twitching sensation. It is weaker than the ejaculation sensation, and I was not sexually aroused. But when I checked, there was a little transparent sticky fluid. I was pretty sure it has the physical characteristics of madhy. But I am afraid that it is maniyy (semen) because of the feeling. Do I have to make ghusl?

Answer:

Assalamu alaykum,

Thank you for your question. It sounds exactly as if madhy (pre-ejaculate fluid) exited, and there is no ritual bath due upon you in this case. You must only make ritual ablution (wudu) and purify the area of your body and clothes that were affected by the fluid. Madhy is usually described as thin, sticky white fluid.

Please see these answers as well and consider taking a course on your personally obligatory fiqh of worship so that you know how to deal with purification and prayer.
