What Is the Purpose of This World If So Many People Are Going to Hell?

Question

I want to ask about a waswasa that shaytan implanted in my heart; may Allah forgive me, that hell will be filled with trillions, whereas Heaven will be for lesser people.

All kuffar are going to hell, including some Muslims. Every sect claims to be correct. Only one sect will go to Janna, while the other 72 will go to Hell. That means that over 90% of this world is going to Hell; what was the point of creating this world if Allah (Most High) knew that most of his slaves would perish in hell?

I feel like I was made for Hell because there are many problems in this world, such as office issues, family issues, peer pressure, etc. It appears that the creation of this world was a complete failure.

I pray you are well. Thank you for your question and seeking guidance.

Allah (Most High) created Paradise and Hellfire to manifest His Beauty and Majesty. He is Loving and Merciful, but He is also Majestic, and when we love Him, we love someone who is Majestic. Without majesty, there can be no worship, and without worship, we are unable to fulfill the purpose of our existence.

Everything in this world unfolded from the beginning until the last day; its wisdom will be manifested in the Hereafter. One way to find the wisdom of our creation and answers to your questions is to find the true meaning to this life, find a sense of purpose and maintain it with sound faith (iman) and good actions. This can be achieved through learning and seeking guidance from Godfearing scholars, being in the good company of pious Muslims, and attending the masjid for daily prayers, local circles of knowledge, and remembrances throughout.

All the above whisperings are from Shaytan, and this is his mission here in this world. Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him and give him peace) said, “Satan will come to one of you, and he will say, ‘Who created this and that?’ until he says to him, ‘Who created your Lord?’ When it comes to this, let him seek refuge in Allah and stop such thoughts.” [Bukhari]

Allah (Most High) knows how many will be in Paradise and the Hellfire. One has to have hope and fear. The heart on its journey towards Allah (Most High) is like that of a bird. Love is its head, and fear and hope are its two wings. When the head is healthy, then the two wings will fly well. When the head is cut off, the bird will die. When either of the two wings is damaged, the bird becomes vulnerable to every hunter and predator. [Ibn al-Qayyim, Madarij al-Salikin]

You are in good hands; you have faith and sought guidance; rest assured, seek protection in Allah (Most High) when you have whispers and misgivings; always be in good company and like a bird on a journey to Allah (Most High) in the Hereafter. Our love of Allah is the basis of our worship, and our fear and hope are like two wings that propel us along the straight path toward our final destination.

May Allah (Most High) ease all of your affairs and protect you and us from the plots of Shaytan, amin
