Is It Disbelief to Disagree That Being Alone With Someone of the Opposite Gender Is Sinful?

Is it disbelief if a muslim, while being alone with a teacher of the opposite gender in a classroom, thinks that it is not something wrong? Can you tell me how I can truly repent?

Answer: Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullah,

True repentance entails leaving the sin, having remorse, and resolving never to return to it.

You are a Muslim, and the thoughts you are experiencing are misgivings. I’d suggest consulting with a qualified psychologist about how you can rid yourself of such negative self-talk.
