Does Believing in the Special Acceptance of Dua at Certain Mosques Constitute Shirk?
Answered by Shaykh Yusuf Weltch
Question
Is it shirk to believe that making dua in a specific mosque, like Moti Masjid, is accepted due to the presence of jinn saying “Ameen” or the Baraka of the place?
Answer
In the Name of Allah, the Most Merciful and Compassionate.
No, it is not Shirk to make a dua in a specific place believing that there is an additional blessing that makes dua more readily accepted.
Shirk is to worship more than one god or to ascribe Allah’s attributes to His creation. [Sanusi, Muqaddimat]
None of these meanings apply to a supplication being more readily accepted in a specific mosque.
Hope this helps
