What is the Ruling of Clear Fluid Exiting or Felt in the Back Passage?

Hanafi Fiqh

Question

There is a liquid that I feel coming out of my butt. It is not feces and has a transparent look; if it touches my clothes, are they impure? I guess that it is water, but I do not know.

Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Merciful and Compassionate

If the transparent and clear liquid is after washing your rear, then it is probably the leftover wetness after istinja, then there is no need to wash your clothes. They are pure.

If this is not the case, then it is some form of liquid that will nullify your wudu and will make your clothes impure, so wash that portion of clothing.

Wudu is nullified by anything that exits from the two openings, namely the penis or vagina, and the anus. [‘Ala’ al-Din ‘Abidin, al-Hadiyya al-‘Ala’iyya]
