What Is the Color of Wadi, and How Does It Appear?
Hanafi Fiqh
Answered by Mawlana Ilyas Patel
Question
What does wadi look like? Can wadi be clear in color?
Answer
In the Name of Allah, the Most Merciful and Compassionate.
I pray you are in good faith and health.
Wadi is a thick, murky white fluid (not colored) that often exits the male organ after urination or could precede it. By scholarly consensus, there is no need to perform a bath (ghusl) after the exit of madhi and wadi, yet wudu would be required. [Tahtawi, Hashiyat al-Tahtawi ‘ala Maraqi al-Falah]
