Question: Assalam alaykum
Is it permissible for women to grow their nails due to trends nowadays?
If her husband finds long nails attractive, can she grow them out for him?
Answer: Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullah,
Yes, it is permissible for a lady to grow her nails out for her husband as this would be from an acceptable form of beautification for her spouse.
However, she should be careful to maintain their cleanliness, and to cut them now and again in order to fulfil the sunna of regular trimming. It would also be best to avoid allowing them to get unreasonably long.
