Is My Ablution Valid, If I Left Out Interlacing My Toes in Ablution?
Hanafi Fiqh
Answered by Shaykh Yusuf Weltch
Question
Is my ablution valid, if I left out interlacing my toes in ablution?
Answer
In the Name of Allah, the Most Merciful and Compassionate
Interlacing the toes (Takhlil) is an emphasized sunna of the ablution (wudu). One’s wudu is valid in water washed each part of the feet at least once. [Tahtawi/Shurunbulali, Hashiyat Maraqi al-Falah]
If you submerged your feet in a container of purifying water, you will have fulfilled the obligation of washing your feet once. [Ibid.]
Hope this helps
