Question: As salam alaykum,
Is it permissible to throw into the bin products on which there is a logo of a halal council?
Answer: Wa alaikum assalam wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh,
I pray that this message finds you well, insha’Allah.
No, you can throw such logos in the bin as long as they do not contain the Name of Allah Most High, any of His Messengers (Allah bless them and give them all peace), Qur’anic verses, or anything sacred.
This is because the basis is having deep veneration for symbols of Allah Most High and that which has a connection to revelation. But if you would rather do otherwise, such as shredding them first, then that too would be fine.
