Question: Can u please tell me what is the proper way of washing clothes? some clothes contain no impurity , while some clothes contain splashes of urine or impure water,i I give all my clothes to my maid to wash them and after that i wash each cloth three time under tap water. but i think it wastes too much water. So please guide my how i wash these clothes properly.

The sunna is that one avoids spreading filth (najasa). This means that it would be best for one to wash the areas of the clothes affected with filth first and then to wash all of the clothes together, since this would minimize the spread of filth. It is ideal to wash the filthy area before it dries so it will be easier to locate and wash out.
However, according to the fatwa of top contemporary scholars, if one has washed all the clothes together in a washing machine and they come out free of any trace of filth, then one can assume they are ritually clean (tahir). It would not be necessary to wash each item again. It is best that the clothes are washed in three cycles of water. However, the optimal method, in order to avoid difference of opinion, is to remove the filth from the filthy clothes and then wash all the clothes together.
