Does Looking at the Body of a Woman Make Her Impermissible?

Question

Does looking at the body of a girl before marriage make her haram to marry? Can we touch the buttocks of one’s wife and have anal intercourse?

Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Merciful and Compassionate

I pray you are in good faith and health. Thank you for your question.

If one looks at the body of a woman before marriage, it will not make her impermissible to marry. However, Islamically, one is only to look at her face and hands, not any other part. See the detailed links below. [Ibn ʿAbidin, Radd al-Muhtar; Pasha, al-Ahwal al-Shakhsiyya]

The Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him and give him peace) said, “When one of you intends to propose marriage to a woman if he is able to look at that which will induce him to marry her, he should do so.” [Abu Dawud, with a sound chain of narration]

Anal Intercourse

It is impermissible and haram to have anal intercourse with one’s wife. Medically, it is a very risky sexual behavior that can lead to detrimental harm to one’s health.

Allah has Cursed Anal Intercourse

Abu Huraira (Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him and give him peace) said, “He has been cursed, who goes into his wife from her rear.” [Abu Dawud]

Many of these abnormal sexual activities are put forth by very spiritually sick and sometimes evil people. Much of these things come from the pornography industry, which is deeply tied to sexual slavery and trafficking.

As much as is possible for us to distance ourselves from such practices and disassociate ourselves from imitating such people – we must.

I would like you to go through the valuable answers and links below. You will receive guidance and direction in sha Allah.
