Do I Need to Perform a Ghusl If I Find Sticky Discharge upon Waking Up?

Even though it’s weird, I’ll get right into it. So I woke up and saw a very sticky white discharge. It wasn’t much, I guess. I didn’t think of it as I tried to cure my waswas issues.so I wore the same pair, and I got a lot of discharge thought out the day.

My question is, how much do I have to clean my surroundings? Like places I’ve sat in my home? Will the discharge and maybe leftover water from istinja deem it pure? I’ve read that sprinkling water on madhy discharge would be enough, and I’m assuming it could be that. Thank you for your time.

Seeing Discharge When Waking Up

If you see discharge from the male organ on your body or clothing upon waking up, it is obligatory to perform the ritual bath (ghusl). This applies whether one recalls a dream or not. [Shurunbulali, Maraqi al-Falah]

Excused Amount of Impurities

In regards to the discharge itself. The discharge is impure. To remove it must be washed with water till you are reasonably sure it is gone. Just sprinkling water upon it is not sufficient.

However, if this is a constant occurrence and constantly washing away the discharge causes you difficulty, you can leave it. [Shurunbulali, Maraqi al-Falah]

Know that an impurity less than 5 gm for solids or 5cm for liquids is excused, and prayer with it is valid.

Thus if your discharge is constant and cleaning it time after time proves difficult, you can leave the impurity as long as it does not exceed the excused amount. [Shurunbulali, Maraqi al-Falah]

Transferral of Impurities

Note that dry impurities do not transfer even if they come in direct contact with something. If the impurity is wet, it will be considered to have transferred to another surface if the traces of the impurity are manifest on that surface. The traces of the impurity are its smell and color.
