Question: Assalam’aleykum,

Can you explain how to perform a correct ritual bath (ghusl)?

Answer: Wa alaikum assalam wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh,

I pray that you are in the best of health and faith, insha’Allah.

If you pour water over your entire body and wash your mouth and nose, you have performed a valid ritual bath (ghusl). [Shurunbulali, Maraqi al-Falah]

We understand this from the Words of Allah Mighty and Majestic, “if required, wash your whole body” [5.6]

Washing from head to toe would be one complete washing.
