What Were the Favorite Colors of the Prophet?

Question: Asalamu alaikum,
I have heard that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon Him) used to like the color green and disliked the color red. What evidence do we have for this? I’ve heard as much detail as His favorite color was the color emerald green.
Answer: Wa alaikum assalam wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh,
I pray that you are in the best of health and faith, insha’Allah.
The Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him and give him peace) wore different colored clothing.
Yet it is specifically reported that Anas said, “The most beloved of colors to the Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him and give him peace) was green.” [Tabarani, al-Mu`jam al-Awsat] However, he also encouraged wearing white saying it is from the “best of your clothing,” and this appears to be the color he wore most often.
