What Are the Conditions for Repentance in Islam?

Question: Assalam ‘aleykum,

For repentance, would it be enough to stop the sin, make dua for forgiveness of that sin and then never to return to that sin?

The third condition is to feel remorse over having committed it, and the fourth is that you return the thing if it involves the right of another party. [See: A Reader on Tawba (Repentance)]
