Question
Do I Have to Perform an Expiation (Kaffara) of Fasts if I Had Carelessly Inhaled Water?
Answer
In the Name of Allah, the Most Merciful and Compassionate
I pray you are in good faith and health.
If one swallowed water at the time of ablution (wudu) unintentionally while remembering one is fasting, then the fast will be broken.
However, in your case, you will only have to do a make up (qada) of the fast for that day. Expiation will not be necessary.
