Who Are the Couples Who Will Be Reclining on the Couches of Janna [Quran 36:56]?

In the Quran, it says, “They and their spouses will be in (cool) shade, reclining on (canopied) couches.” [Quran, 36:56]
I know that men get more than one wife and women only have one husband. But by spouses does this include believing women and their husbands who enter paradise, or does it just include maidens of Janna and men who enter heaven?
