Is It Permissible to Want to Become a Great Person Who Can Guide Others?
Answered by Ustadha Shazia Ahmad
Question
Is it permissible to want to become a great person who can guide others?
Answer
Thank you for your question. May Allah reward you for your noble intention to become a Muslim scholar, and may He make you an instrument for spreading much goodness.
The Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) said, “He who guides (others) to an act of goodness, will have a reward similar to that of its doer.” [Muslim]
And he said, (Allah bless him and give him peace), “When God wishes good for anyone, He gives him an understanding of the religion. I am only a distributor; God gives.” [Bukhari; Muslim]
