Lifting Feet in Prostration
Answered by Shaykh Yusuf Weltch
Question
Is my prayer valid, if I lifted my feet off the ground during the prostration?
Answer
In the Name of Allah, the Most Merciful and Compassionate
If during the prostration there was a moment where all seven limbs were touching the ground, the prayer is valid. [Tahtawi/Shurunbulali, Hashiyat Maraqi al-Falah]
The seven limbs are the forehead, the hands, the knees, and the feet. [Ibid.]
If your feet were not on the ground at any time along with the other limbs, the prayer is invalid. Note that this is highly unlikely and should not be assumed to be the case. [Ibid.]
Hope this helps
