Is tubal ligation allowed in Islam for a woman with a genetic condition that can result in a high probability of her male offspring being born with a rare congenital disease for which no cure exists?

Generally speaking, it is not permissible for a woman to permanently cut off the means of reproduction because of the high risk of genetic disease. Allah is the one who provides what He wills to his servants, and He is capable of bringing something good out of something terrible. Being the sister of a disabled person myself, I can tell you that it can be the greatest blessing that one ever receives in one’s family.
