Does the follower say Allah Akbar when the Imam goes in to the prostration and when he stands up to the second unit of prayer?

Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Merciful and Compassionate

Yes. It is an emphasized Sunna for the follower to say Allah Akbar for each transition, just as it is for the Imam. [Tahtawi/Shurunbulali, Hashiyat Maraqi al-Falah]
