Is It Sufficient That I Pray Three Prayers in the Mosque Daily?
Answered by Ustadha Shazia Ahmad
Question
Is it sufficient that I pray three prayers in the mosque daily?
Answer
May Allah reward you abundantly for praying three prayers in the mosque daily, and may He ever increase you.
Emphasized Sunna
The Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) said, “He who purifies (performs wudu) himself in his house and then walks to one of the houses of Allah (mosque) for performing an obligatory prayer, one step of his will wipe out his sins, and another step will elevate his rank (in Jannah).” [Muslim]
Praying the obligatory prayers in the mosque for men is an emphasized sunna in the Hanafi school; the legal opinions vary in the other schools of thought. Our very purpose of existence is to strive to worship Allah Most High. Choosing the best place to pray is the foundation you should build for the rest of your life. I pray that Allah continues to grant you success and faith and increases you in it.
