Yes we will – in sha’ Allah – see Allah (Most High) in the Hereafter, amin.
Seeing Allah (Most High) with one’s own eyes in the Hereafter is true, known, and established through sacred texts, not through reason, but it is from the matters of ambiguous description, as mentioned by Imam Fakhr al-Islam Ali al-Bazdawi (Allah have mercy on him).
Allah (Most High) mentions, “That day will faces be resplendent, looking toward their Lord” [Quran, 21-22].
Imam Abu Hanifa (Allah be pleased with him) mentions in his famous text, Al-Fiqh al-Akbar: Allah Most High will be seen in the Hereafter. The believers will see Him, while in Paradise, with their own eyes, without any comparison or modality. There will not be any distance between Him and His creation.
Imam Abu Hanifa ((Allah be pleased with him) mentions himself that He will be seen without any modality, corporealism, or direction. [Imam Abu Hanifa, Al-Fiqh al-Akbar]
The way of Ahl al Sunna wa ‘l-Jama’a is that Allah Most High is not seen in a direction. the saying of the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace), You will see your Lord as you see the full moon’ [Bukhari, Muslim] is just to show resemblance between the sighting of the one and the other, and not to show a resemblance in every aspect between what is actually seen
May Allah (Most High) make us from those honored believers who will see Him in the Hereafter (Akhirah), amin!
