Will Eating Animals That Are Prohibited in This World in Heaven (Janna) Be Permitted?
Answered by Mawlana Ilyas Patel
Question
Will pork and other haram animals be halal in Heaven (Janna)?
Answer
In the Name of Allah, the Most Merciful and Compassionate.
I pray you are in good faith and health.
The life of the Hereafter is unique and different from this world, like the life in a mother’s womb is different from this physical world. Each world is different, so the life of Paradise, which will be eternal and unique, its pleasures and life will also be the same with food, fulfilling desires of all kinds, etc. In fact, one will not think of the pleasures of this world, as they were temporary; from being fresh, it went stale to rotten hard, and decomposed.
Abu Huraira (Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) said, “Allah said: I have prepared for My righteous servants what no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human heart has conceived. Recite the verse if you wish: No soul knows what has been hidden for them of comfort.” (Quran, 32:17) [Bukhari; Muslim]
So much so the last person’s paradise will be ten times this world.
Abdullah ibn Mas’ud reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Verily, I know who will be the last to come out of the Hellfire and the last to enter Paradise. He is a man who will come out of the Hellfire crawling. Allah will say to him: Go and enter Paradise. The man will go out, but he will imagine that it is full, so he will return and say: O Lord, I have found it full. Allah will say: Go and enter Paradise, and you will have as much as the world and ten times more. The man will say: Do you mock me or laugh at me while you are the King?” [Bukhari; Muslim]
