Hanafi Fiqh
Answered by Shaykh Yusuf Weltch
Question
According to Hanafi madhab can one recite any part of the Quran during the Qirat. For example, after Fatiha can I recite Ayat al-kursi and then go into ruku’. Or any random 3 consecutive ayas in the Quran before going into ruku’?
Answer
In the Name of Allah, the Most Merciful and Compassionate
After reciting the Fatiha, one is allowed to read from any part of the Quran, keeping the following considerations in mind:
After the Fatiha, it is necessary to also recite either:
- Any Sura (regardless of how small).
- Any three consecutive verses
- Any large verse that is equal to or longer in length than numbers (1) or (2)[Shurunbulali, Maraqi al-Falah]
Hope this helps
Allah A’lam
