Is there an expiation for breaking a fast through ejaculation via masturbation?

Answer: Wa alaikum assalam wa rahmatullah,

According to the Hanafi school, there is no expiation for breaking a fast through ejaculation via masturbation. However, you do need to make those fasts up (qada’) and repent for the mistake. [see: A Reader on Tawba (Repentance)]
