Does the Falling of Impermissible Food Transfer Impurity to the Other Food?

Question

My question relates to the transfer of impurity. If a piece of haram food fell into a freezer, does the impurity transfer to surrounding items due to moisture in the freezer, even if they are not in direct contact with haram food? Is removing the haram piece of food and wiping the area on which it fell sufficient?

Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Merciful and Compassionate

The only impermissible food that is inherently impure is pork. Other impermissible meats are only impure if they contain blood. [ ‘Ala’ al-Din ‘Abidin, al-Hadiyya al-‘Ala’iyya]

If some pork fell in onto the freezer only the place of contact is impure. Nothing other than what contact was made is impure. It is sufficient to wipe the area in which the pork contacts till no traces. [Shurunbulali, Maraqi al-Falah]
