Do I Need to Pray Dhuhr If My Menstruation Finishes before Dhuhr Prayer Time Ends?

Question

A menstruating woman does not pray, but say, if Dhuhr is at 1 pm, and at around 4 pm she makes ghusl and is no longer on her period, and she has enough time to read Dhuhr before ‘asr time comes in, does she still have to pray Dhuhr even though she was still on her period when the time first came in?

So a menstruating woman does not fast, of course, but must she stop eating as soon as she finds out she is no longer on her period-can she eat something even before making ghusl?

Prayer

If one’s menstruation finishes with enough time to perform the ritual bath (ghusl), get dressed, and say the opening Takbir (Allahu Akbar) of the prayer, they are obliged to pray. If they missed the prayer, they must make it up.

Even though they were not obliged to pray at the beginning of the prayer time, consideration is given to the end of the prayer time.

Therefore, if she is pure before the prayer time exits with the above amount of time remaining, that prayer is obligatory for her.

Fasting

The same conditions apply to fasting. The end of the prayer time is considered. For example, if she starts the day in a state of purity fasting and just before Maghrib she gets her menstruation, that day does not count, and she must make it up.

Also, if she has her menstruation just before fajr, she becomes pure; even before taking a shower, she must fast that day. [Ibn ‘Abidin, Radd al-Muhtar]

Imsak (Refraining From Anything That Breaks the Fast)

If a woman starts a day of Ramadan in the state of menstruation and becomes pure before Maghrib it is not necessary for her to abstain (imsak) from eating, drinking and marital relations till Maghrib. However some have deemed it recommend to do so. [Ibn ‘Abidin, Radd al-Muhtar]
