Can one offer a sacrifice on behalf of deceased parents or others?
Shaykh Irshaad will explain the ruling according to the Shafi’i School regarding the sacrifice (Udhiya) on behalf of a deceased person and under what conditions it is possible to perform this act.
Shaykh Irshaad Sedick was raised in South Africa in a traditional Muslim family. He graduated from Dar al-Ulum al-Arabiyya al-Islamiyya in Strand, Western Cape, under the guidance of the late world-renowned scholar Shaykh Taha Karaan (Allah have mercy on him), where he taught.
