Is it allowed to wear a fashionable abaya in Islam?

Answer

Thank you for your question. It is permissible to wear anything loose, long, and not transparent while keeping in mind the cultural clothing and traditions of one’s area. Always err on the side of modesty; consult other religious women and seek the answer in your heart when in doubt. Every girl knows when she is going overboard.
