A Non-Muslim Visiting a Muslim Grave

Question: How should a non-Muslim visit a Muslim grave?

Answer:

Wa alaykum assalam wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh,

Dear questioner,

Thank you for your important question.

It is perfectly fine for a non-Muslim to visit a Muslim grave (Mawahib al Jalil, Hattab).

When they go to visit the dead Muslim, they should not pray for them but only call upon God Himself. They should also dress modestly.

It may well be that the dead hears the prayers and words of the people visiting them.
