What does “God suffices you” mean in the verse “O Prophet! God suffices you and those who follow you of the believers.” [Quran: 8:64]?
Answer
In the Name of Allah, the Most Merciful and Compassionate.
The meaning of Allah suffices you is that Allah Most High will take care of you such that you have no need of any other. [Sabuni, Safwa al-Tafsir]
