Is there a particular way to recite Dalail Khayrat? Do we recite the names of Allah and the names of the Prophet ﷺ and the intention before each part? Could you recommend a way of reciting it please?

I pray you are well.
The Dala’il al-Khayrat is a tremendous compendium of blessings and prayers for the Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him and give him peace) as well as the other Prophets, angels, the Muslims, and the reader. It has had widespread acceptance from the Muslims for centuries. This, in part, is due to ease of its recitation.
“Allah has blessed it with the acceptance and face that others works have not gotten. The elect and the generality of the Muslims have been obsessed with it, serving it with commentaries and super-commentaries. That is only because of the beautiful intention of the author and his pure inward state of love for the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace).” (Zabidi, Ithaf al-Sada al-Muttaqin)
The work has been written with eight main sections that are to be read devotionally. The first section on a Monday, with the following six sections to be read one by one on each coming day. The last section, which is the shortest, is to be read on the following Monday before restarting the whole process again.
This is the main section of the book and is to be recited this way, but one may also read the names of the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) with blessings on him, as and when he wants. The book is also divided into thirds and quarters should someone want to increase their daily amount. It’s well worth reading even a page or two if you cannot read a whole section.
Some editions have an introductory supplication and an intention that seems to have been added by later scholars. While not necessary, these supplications are beneficial, and the intention helps one get into the right devotional state of mind before sending the blessings on the Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him and give him peace). Reading them can be very beneficial.

Shaykh Abdul-Rahim Reasat began his studies in Arabic Grammar and Morphology in 2005. After graduating with a degree in English and History, he moved to Damascus in 2007, where, for 18 months, he studied with many erudite scholars. In late 2008 he moved to Amman, Jordan, where he continued his studies for the next six years in Sacred Law (fiqh), legal theory (Usul al-fiqh), theology, hadith methodology, hadith commentary, and Logic. He was also given licenses of mastery in the science of Quranic recital. He was able to study an extensive curriculum of Quranic sciences, tafsir, Arabic grammar, and Arabic eloquence.
