Is it sinful to seek forgiveness before Hajj?

It is Sunnah to ask for forgiveness in general at any time. The prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) said, “I swear by Allah that I seek Allah’s Pardon and turn to Him in repentance more than seventy times a day.” [Bukhari]
