Injustice On The Day of Judgement

Question

I’ve been thinking about this for a while now, and I can’t wrap my head around it. If a murderer is guaranteed Jannah because he says the Kalima on his deathbed, is that justice? What about the people he murdered?

Answer

I pray you are well.

You don’t need to worry about this. The Quran has made it abundantly clear that there will be no injustice on the Day of Judgement. “Today, each soul will be recompensed for what it earned. The is no wronging today!” (Quran, 40:17)

Even if someone does something that gets him into Paradise, he will have to answer for what He did. He may be punished first, or Allah may recompense the wronged party with so much good that they do not care about getting their rights back. Either way, no one is wronged, and no wrong is left unresolved.

You can rest easy knowing Allah is the best of judges.
