Which Name Should I Choose for My Child?
Answered by Shaykh Abdul-Rahim Reasat
Question
Three days ago, we were blessed with a baby boy and finalized the name “Wali.” However, we’re confused about whether we should name him “Wali Mohammed Khan” or “Mohammed Wali Khan”?
Answer
Mubarak. May Allah bless your child with a healthy, happy life filled with deeds that please Him.
Either order for the name is perfectly fine. Go with whatever order pleases you. Many people place the name “Muhammad” before the second name, but the choice is yours.
May Allah grant you all the best of both worlds.
