Question

Is Abdul-Nasser Correct to Keep as a Name?

Answer

Thank you for your question.

This name is permissible to use, as Allah has mentioned Himself as Naseer (نصير) in the verse below and other verses.  Nasser/Nasir (ناصر), means supporter or helper and Ibn Katheer mentions in his tafseer that the meaning of Naseer in the verse below is that Allah Most High is the same meaning as Nasir, i.e. the best one to give triumph over the enemies or protect one from enemies. [Tafseer Ibn Katheer, 3:237]

“And if they do not comply, then know Allah is your Protector. What an excellent Protector, and what an excellent Helper!” [Quran, 8:40]

May Allah give you the best of this world and the next.
